How to tackle time management challenges with GeoClock and SAP SuccessFactors

Participants shared their own time management challenges, revealing that many organisations struggle with a range of issues.

EPI-USE Labs, in collaboration with the African SAP User Group (AFSUG), recently hosted an insightful webinar focused on delivering practical strategies for improving time management using GeoClock and SAP SuccessFactors, which I presented in my role as Product Owner of GeoClock solutions.

 

The webinar,  titled ‘5 Top Tips for Effective Time Management’,  explored how organisations can optimise their time-tracking systems, streamline scheduling processes, and enhance overall efficiency.  Attendees gained valuable insights into overcoming the common time management obstacles that many organisations face today.

What is the most significant challenge your organisation faces with time management?

During the webinar, participants were encouraged to share their own time management challenges, revealing that many organisations struggle with a range of issues, including:

  • inaccuracies in tracking employee hours (66.7%)
  • difficulties in resource allocation and capacity management (33.3%), and
  • managing employee schedules and shifts (0%).

What’s the best way to optimise resource allocation and capacity management-

These challenges were echoed by the results of the pre-webinar poll, which showed that tracking employee hours accurately and managing resource allocation are the most significant hurdles faced by businesses today. The feedback gathered helped shape the conversation around how GeoClock, integrated with SAP SuccessFactors, can offer real-time solutions to address these persistent challenges and drive better operational outcomes.

How to track employee hours accurately

66,7% of the attendees indicated that tracking employee hours accurately is their top concern, with the complexity of capturing correct hours in dynamic work environments – especially with remote teams or shift-based work – often leading to errors and inefficiencies.

33,3% of attendees listed resource allocation and capacity management as a significant challenge for their organisations. Without an effective system in place, managing capacity and adjusting resources can be difficult, leading to underutilised labour and wastage of resources.
