About this webinar

If anything can be said to have thrived in 2020 during a global pandemic, it must surely be online shopping. U.S. digital sales grew 36% for the first two weeks of December 2020 as consumers hunkered down to finish their holiday shopping at home.

The record increase in online shopping with COVID-19 still ever-present means that retail companies are collecting increasing amounts of consumer data. This poses questions about where the data is stored, and its privacy and security.

Shoppers may not always be aware of how much information about them is collected and used. If a consumer checks out as a 'Guest', what happens to their data? Does it go away? Not by itself. Companies have a duty to protect consumers' personal information, so where do they start?

Watch this webinar replay to find out how companies running SAP can comply with data privacy laws in regards to consumer data:

  • Data Subject Access Requests: how to find the required data
  • How to remove consumer data
  • How to remove backlog privacy debt – without the need for expensive, complex projects
  • Implementing periodic removal of data which falls outside of a retention period
